DEATH OF BWINDI’S OLDEST FEMALE GORILLA

.
One of the famous female mountain gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable park has died at 30 years .This female was called Bwiruka and a dominant female in Bwindi .Three months back, Bwindi lost its dorminant male called Ruhondeza  .
She was found dead by a group of tourists who were tracking Nsongi group in the park
The acting chief conservation area manager said that Bwiruka’s age of 30 made her weaker and he noted that she was not feeling well for some time because she could not even run as she used to do among other Nshongi members .It reached an extent that Bwiruka could not even walk  or Feed .
Male gorillas are much stronger compared to the females because the females are weakened by giving birth. Males can even take 50 years in habituation compared to the females who at times do not make 35 years in habituation.
Other Nshongi members are to Miss Bwiruka because she was too jolly, playful and welcoming to the trackers as well.
A Post mortem for non –humans is being carried out to determine the cause of Bwiruka’s death before her burial in Bwindi Gorilla park.
