DISASTER LOOMS ON MT.  ELGON
Another disater is looming in Bugisu sub- region in  Bulambuli district if authorities do not act fast and remove people from the slopes of mt Elgon.
Mt Elgon is a home of more than 200,000 people living on the slopes and heavy  and big cracks have been developed and   triggered off by heavy  deforestation,and poor land management around the mountain
.
clearing of the natural vegetationhas made the soil loose and could slide down the valleys any time to bury more people.this is evident because the cracks that were narrow have now widened exposing the cliffs and ridges as well.Thisincreased runoffsare likely to result into anotherlandslide any time.

Its my humble appeal to all Ugandans residing on the slopes of the mountain to vacate them immediately to avoid  loosing their lives.
